Dix ans après leur premier disque en commun (La Suave Melodia, Flora 3415), Les Timbres et Harmonia Lenis se retrouvent pour un nouvel enregistrement. Entourés de leurs amis, ils y fêtent le génie inventif de Georg Philipp Telemann (1681-1767), dans des œuvres regorgeant de couleurs, d'instrumentations et de timbres. Cet enregistrement propose l'intégrale des Six Trio de 1718, dans une version à l'ornementation longuement murie et hautement expressive. S'y ajoutent deux raretés, des trios avec clavecin obligé issus des Essercizii Musici.
Ten years after their first collaboration on the CD La Suave Melodia (Flora 3415), the two ensembles Les Timbres and Harmonia Lenis are reunited for a new recording. To celebrate the genius of Georg Philipp Telemann (1681–1767), they have put together a programme of pieces full of variations in colour, instrumentation and timbres. This recording features the complete 1718 Six Trio, in which a careful choice of highly expressive ornamentation adds joy and surprise for the listener. A bonus of this CD is the rarely heard trios with solo harpsichord from the Essercizii Musici.
