L'ensemble LES TIMBRES, révélé au public par son Premier Prix au prestigieux Concours International de Bruges en 2009, propose ici son premier enregistrement consacré aux Pièces de Clavecin en Concerts de Jean-Philippe Rameau (1683-1764). Publiées à Paris en 1741, celles-ci occupent une place importante non seulement dans le répertoire de clavecin, mais également dans l'histoire de la musique : elles peuvent en effet être considérées comme les premiers exemples ayant conduits au trio à clavier classique puis romantique.
The ensemble LES TIMBRES were revealed to the public at the occasion of their first prize award at the prestigeous International Music Competition in Bruges (Belgium) in 2009. They decided to join the Flora cd label, and start this collaboration with jean-Philippe Rameau's « Pièces de Clavecin en Concerts". These pieces of fabulous chamber music were published in Paris in 1741; of major significance in the repertoire of the harpsichord, they are equally marking the general history of occidental music as they are the first examples of works giving birth later to the classical and romantic keyboard trios.
